The OUR HOUSE mission is to provide the community with grief support services, education, resources, and hope. Since 1993, OUR HOUSE has helped thousands of grieving children, teens, and adults as they embark upon their journeys to hope and healing. Join us this summer at Camp Erin LA, a free camp experience for children & teens who are grieving the death of someone significant/close. Camp Erin combines traditional camp experiences with grief support activities to provide a day of hope and healing. Under the guidance of grief professionals, kids learn that their feelings are normal – and that by talking about them they can begin to heal.
Episode 1
Grieving children, teens and adults deserve the opportunity to experience the healing process in a safe, warm and nurturing environment. The healing process is enhanced through the friendships and connections that are developed in support groups. Despite protests from her children, fifteen-year-old Kris (Shannen Doherty); twelve-year-old David (Chad Allen); and eight-year-old Molly (Keri Houlihan) they, Jessie, and their basset hound Arthur leave Fort Wayne, Indiana, to start a new life in California. As they settle in with Gus, they realize just how difficult he can be to live with. The majority of the plots each week centers on the conflicts which tend to arise when an extended family must live together in the same house. As man of the house, Gus imposes rules on his three grandkids the same way he had raised John (and also John's brother Ben, who is seen in a two part episode); ultimately, however, he learns ways of conveying lessons to the kids without being gruff.

If the book is anything to go by, Our House will be packed with plenty of “twists and turns” and a "nail-biting finale," per the show synopsis. Per ITV’s synopsis, at first she thinks her home was sold by accident, but upon discovering her husband Bram has gone missing, she soon realised there’s much more going on. Told in a series of flashbacks, Our House is a story of betrayal and mystery and may just have you questioning your own memories. Grief is a Natural Reaction to Death
Over the years, they have children, paint the walls dark blue, put in parquet flooring and big glass sliding doors – then they stop tickling each other. The relationship finally falls apart when Fi comes home one night to catch Bram getting up to some excessively neighbourly behaviour in the shed. It’s a good question, but one the opening episode doesn’t really try to answer. Instead, this four-parter, an adaptation of Louise Candlish’s 2018 novel, is standard ITV thriller territory, perfectly watchable, basically functional, if not particularly fresh.

Camp Erin combines traditional camp activities with grief support, education and remembrance projects and ceremonies. Campers navigate a rock wall; engage in arts and crafts; and enjoy other activities designed to encourage and promote healing. Camp Erin allows children a chance to share their thoughts, feelings, and memories about the person who died with their peers. They participate in memorial ceremonies as well as outdoor activities that allow them to enjoy the freedom of childhood. They attempt to separate in the least disruptive way possible for the sake of their boys by “birdnesting”, which involves renting a flat across the road, and taking it in turns to live in the house, so the children don’t have to move.
Camp volunteers are extraordinary people who make a big difference in the lives of grieving children. OUR HOUSE is able to serve hundreds of campers every year thanks to the dedication and generous hearts of our camp volunteers. We flash back to 10 years earlier, when Fi and her husband, Bram (Martin Compston), come across the house they will turn into a World of Interiors magazine spread. They are so happy and in love that they tickle each other as they strip wallpaper. The house is huge and incredible, and appears to be in London, which made me spend far more time than I should have wondering how they could have afforded it. They both have generic middle-class jobs, in offices with lumbar support chairs and big glass windows, but, even so, that house must have cost a fortune.
